7.10.2016: Rad Rodgers raises more than 80.000 dollars through Kickstarter
The videogame Rad Rodgers, developed by Danish Interceptor Entertainment have crowdfunded 81.861 dollars through their Kickstarter-campaign. With a target of 50.000 dollars, that is a success.
“We are so happy and truly thankful that so many people have chosen to support Rad Rodgers through Kickstarter. It is fantastic,” Frederic Schreiber, CEO in Interceptor Entertainment, says.
Supported by almost 4000 people
3901 was the number of different individuals that supported and invested in Rad Rodgers. It was through the crowdfunding site Kickstarter, that the target of 50.000 dollars was reached. The site makes it easy and accessible for everyone to invest in a product or project already before it hits the market. This also helps the developers, because it makes it easier to see if there is a request on the market for the product.
“We used Kickstarter, because we wanted to test the waters. We wanted to see if there even was a demand on the market for this type of game, and one may say, there was” Frederik Schreiber explains
With inspiration from the classics
After the overwhelming Kickstarter-campaign, Rad Rodgers is now ready to be launched. The plan is to launch in February 2017 for PlayStation 4 and PC. Rad Rodgers draws its inspiration from classic games such as Commander Keen, Conker, Ruff'n'Tumble & Jazz Jackrabbit, but with modern sound, control and graphic.
